Still life

Still-life photographs by Gian Luca Barlucchi, finding colour, texture and shape in cups, bicycles, flowers, buckets and familiar objects.

A cup held between two hands, a row of bright buckets and the worn parts of a bicycle offer different ways to look at familiar things. Some frames describe their subjects clearly; others let blur, colour or shadow turn an ordinary object into a study of shape.
